Though standing top of the league table, KCCA FC have only picked seven out of the available 15 away from home in the last five games.
The wins have come against two sides Maroons and SC Victoria who are both languishing in the drop zone. In both games the Kasasiro boys have conceded a goal.
The hosts, Bright Stars are neither enjoying a better season winning only one of their last five games. The stars lost 3-1 to debutants JMC Hippos at Kakindu on Friday and their assistant coach Patrick Kiwanuka insists the referees of the day did a shoddy job and defensive lapse cost them more.
“The referees in the game were one-sided especially the first assistants denying us several fouls even to the build up of JMC’s second goal,” Kiwanuka said adding that “We were also carried away and lost concentration scoring an own goal and the other two.”
“However for KCCA Fc things will be different. We have to put our best performance at home and lock them down early on time,” he summed.
Kiwanuka is deputising his head coach Fred Kajoba who fell I’ll last Monday shortly after returning from the 2017 Afcon qualifiers against Burkina Faso with the national team the Cranes.
The stars have no major injury concerns to deal with but their Tuesday visitors will be without five players including Hassan Wasswa Dazo, Ivan Ntege, Ronald Kikonyogo, Muzamir Mutyaba and Lawrence Kasadha.
The absentees seen not to be a problem for the talent-laden side who have lined up a relative strong arsenal to counter the Mwererwe wave.
The city lords have not lost to Bright stars in the league winning four and drawing the last meeting at Cgampions stadium in Matugga.
