Express JT 0-2 Lweza Orange Brigade
Lweza junior side, the Orange Brigade maintained their lead on top of the Hatrick group after outwitting Express Junior team in a game played at Mengo SS playground on Sunday.
A first half brace from forward Ibrahim Ssekyanzi was enough for Lweza to claim all three points and extend their unbeaten run to five games.
Lweza dominated proceedings right from onset with diminutive playmaker Brian Katwesigye dictating play for the visitors.
Ssekyanzi opened the scores on quarter hour mark heading home George Lubowa’s cross to give the visitors an early lead.
Eleven minutes later, Ssekyanzi doubled the lead for Orange brigade punishing Express for poor defending, converting Gabriel Emolu’s cross from a corner.
Express Junior Team coach, Li Chao was forced to make early changes introducing Agok Wilson and Remmy Luggya for Farid Ssebulidde and Kato Matheus respectively but the changes failed to make any positive change.
Despite Lweza being dominant, there was a spark from Express Junior team with Nkata Billy troubling the visitor’s the entire game despite failing to find the cutting edge in the final third.
Lweza now cement their lead in the hatrick group currently on 17 points in 5 games and Ssekyanzi now takes his tally to 5 goals this season same as BUL junior team forward Fred Massa.
