After a fortnight of mourning the departed goalkeeper Abel Dhaira, the eastern town of Jinja will now shift focus to the derby between arch rivals Sadolin Paints FC and BUL Fc at the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe on Saturday afternoon.
The last time the two met in Bugembe, it ended one all with probably the second biggest crowd (after SC Villa vs Vipers) witnessed in the league last season.
The coaches from both sides have opted to downplay the magnitude of the game to the locals claiming ‘its just a normal game’.
Sadolin is on their best ever run in the league where they have won three consecutive games away to The Saints (0-1), Lweza (0-1) and SC Victoria university (0-3).
Bull got relieved on Tuesday ending three match winless run by beating Express 2-0, their first ever win against the red eagles at home.
Before that they had conceded a whooping eight goals in two matches against Police (2-3) and Soana (5-2).
Team news.
The painters will be without their skipper Peter Katumba who is automatically safeguarded for accumulating cautions. Katumba joined Sadolin last season from Bul FC he also failed to feature in the first leg defeat due to injury.
Right back George Semwogerere is also out after receiving matching orders against SC Victoria, Dan Ekuyu is expected to replace him in the right back.
Bul will be without strikers John Wakalaita, David ‘Neymar’ Kiiza and goalie Emmanuel Kalyoowa, who are all nursing injuries.
Players to watch.
Bul side defeated Sadolin 1-0 in the first leg through Augustine Nsumba’s late winner. The captain has scored a goal in each of Bul’s last two games same as Miliron Kalisa who also scored Bul’s goal in the one all draw at Bugembe last season.
“Bul is a big team with great players so we don’t have anyone we can single out but just to be careful on everyone they field,” coach Musafiri told ChimpSport.
Norman Ogik is the most inform striker in today’s fixture with three goals in three games plus an assist to his name. Allan Oryek has also registered four assists in the three games.
Coaches opinions;
Msafiri- “Its normally a good atmosphere to see fans billing their local teams and we hope to give our best. I won’t accept them (Bul FC) to beat me twice, not at home.”
Kiwanuka-“to me its a game like any other. we want to go on top of them and finish in a better position. Otherwise the win is what we are going for.”
