
Buwanika Bulls winning streak came to a disappointing halt with a 10-2 humiliation at the hands of defending champions MUBS on Sunday in the 2015-16 Pepsi national beach soccer league.
Elvis Kassuja and Joachim Golooba each scored a brace capped with a goal each from Ben Ocen and Derrick Kyega and a hat trick by Isma Kawawulo did the magic for the s scholars.
The MUBS team had the busiest day full with mixed results.
The team also lost their replay with Nkumba Select 5-4 before suffering another 4-3 defeat against fellow university team St. Lawrence.
In their other match, Ben Oven produced his best performance of the season scoring four times to give MUBS a 7-0 win over Kampala City All Stars. The other goals were scored by Isma Kawawulo and Elvis Kasujja.
In the Monsoon group, Ibrahim Munyanyi’s hatrick speared KIU to a 5-2 win over YMCA.
The national beach soccer league is sponsored by Crown Beverages under their flagship brand Pepsi Cola. The league is divided into two groups the monsoon and Hurriken.
Each of the two groups has 8 teams to make a total of 16 teams in the league.
The top four teams per group will qualify for the last eight knockout stages.
