Bul Football Club have completed a double on army side Simba FC after replicating the first round 1-0 win on Tuesday 12th April at the Kakindu stadium in Jinja.

The goal came in the 70th minute from Shaka Ssozi’s header from Hakim Magombe’s left wing cross. The striker had just spent 16 minutes on the playing field after replacing Blaize Nkolo.

First half action.
Bul had better chances to open the game but Sibira and Marisa failed to convert successive crosses from Umar Mukobe’s pin point crosses.

Mukobe was the most active in the first period but only to be let down by his recipients Militon Kalisa, Sibira and Nsumba upfront.

Simba’s biggest threat presented three minutes after the half hour mark when centre back Denis Sekitoleko’s long diagonal clearance was controlled by Patrick Gonahasa who set up Wakaza.

The captain beat Oringa in the right near post but his dribble was too heavy rolling through the six yard box with no one to convert. Gonahasa looked over helpless.

The win sends Bul two places up to ninth with 32 points while Simba’s hopes of surviving begin to fade since their rivals Saints Fc open a four points gap with a 4-1 thumping of SCVU.
