Jinja Municipal council Hippos and Uganda Christian University- Mbale have progressed to the round of 32 in the Uganda cup following identical home wins.
Sleeky winger Sekajugo was the difference as JMC Hippos squeezed a slim 1-0 win over Nyamityobora FC.
Officiation mess
The Centre official arrived about 45 minutes to the official kick off and performed the routine checks before both teams embarked to their final round of warm ups.
Forty five minutes later, the match assistants were nowhere to be seen and that remained the same half an hour after scheduled kickoff before both sides agreed to use makeshift linesmen chosen by either side.
The funniest part is when the center referee borrowed a whistle from one of the JMC Hippos fans to kick off the game.
The game was flurried with multiple mistakes and at the end, a section of Nyamityobora officials confronted the center referee in search of answers.
In the other game played, UCU Mbale defeated Airtel Kitara at the Mbale municipal stadium to progress. The goal was scored by Abdul Karim Ntalaba.
