Uganda Premier League table leaders KCCA FC have a daunting task on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Kakindu stadium to face debutantes Jinja Municipal Hippos Fc.
Apart from the battle of the local municipal and city councils, KCCA Fc will also seek to get back to winning ways after faulting in their last away game where former player Geoffrey Sserunkuma denied maximum points with a late equalizer at Wankulukuku against Lweza.
Prior to that game, Lweza had lost 1-0 to ten-man JMC Hippos at Kakindu.
The last time the Mutebi coached side were at Kakindu, it was a 1-0 loss to Bul.
Saturday hosts are in cloud nine enjoying their first adventure in the top flight with wonderful performances lately. JMC Hippos sit on the fourth place with 37 points.
The Hippos have won three on the run at home against Lweza, Bright Stars and Express FC.
“No doubt KCCA Fc is a big team, if you look at all other factors but on pitch we can match them in every department,” JMC captain Richard Wandyaka said.
“Last time they narrowly survived when they got a penalty but this time in front of our home fans, it will be a different script,”he added.
JMC will be without long term absentee Patrick Onyango as well as Musa Bankene whose three match ban ends after today’s game.
The Kasasiro boys welcome back center back Lawrence Kasadha but will miss Ceaser Okhuti, Ivan Ntege, Hassan Wasswa Dazo and Ronald Kikonyogo.
The fate of inspirational midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba, Godfrey Ssembatya and goalie Benjamin Ochan will be decided after a late test.
