Police FC vs Bright stars
Mandela National Stadium
Tuesday, 18th April 2017 4:00pm
Uganda Police football club and Bright stars face off this Tuesday at Mandela national stadium in a bid to fight for survival.
With the season winding up, the battle to beat the drop has intensified with over six teams locked in the relegation mix.
Both Bright stars and Police have 28 points in 9th and 10th positions respectively but just sit 3 points above the drop zone.
The cops come into Tuesday’s clash with a sigh of relief after earning victory off Vipers last week.
Head coach Abdallah Mubiru who returns to the touchline after a two game ban believes they need to keep winning to fend of relegation.
“We are not yet safe at the moment therefore I believe every game still counts and we need to remain focused,” he said.
Bright stars on the other have had a torrid period failing to win in over seven games and head coach Fred Kajjoba came out to publicly indicate the team has gone 9 months without pay.
Bright stars won the first leg meeting 3-0 in Mwererwe which was their maiden victory against Police.
