Uganda Premier League
SC Villa vs Vipers
Masaka Recreation Ground
16th May 2017 4:00pm

Sports Club Villa will be seeking for their first ever double (home and away wins in the same season) against SC Vipers for the first time since their maiden meeting in 2006.

With the title already won by KCCA FC, the only prize at stake for both SC Villa and Vipers is the second position.

At 52 points, SC Villa sit second on the table just three points adrift of Vipers who are third.

However, Vipers have the chance to dispense Villa should they earn maximum points at Masaka recreation ground with 2+ goal margin.

Both teams come into Tuesday’s game with seemingly depleted squads with several key players missing in action.

SC Villa are without striker Emmanuel Okwi who was sent off in the game against Soana in Kavumba.

Defender Paul Mbowa and midfielder Ambrose Kirya are also still sidelined with injuries.

On the other hand, Vipers will be without midfielder Keziron Kizito who limped off in the game against Onduparaka.

Shafik Bakaki, Moses Waiswa and Aggrey Madoi are all still out injured while Frank Tumwesigye and Pius Wangi are engaged with St. Mary’s Kitende at the ongoing national post primary games.

Vipers have been dominant in this fixture losing once in the last 13 fixtures and the only loss came in the first leg (2-1) at Nakivubo stadium.
