Betway Power Unveil New Signings Ahead Of Season Tip Off

With the 2017 National Basketball League (NBL) getting underway this Friday, Betway Power have unveiled their squad with new acquisitions.

Betway Power who reached the finals last year but lost to City Oilers have added six players to their roster.

The new signings were officially unveiled in a function held at the Betway head offices in Lugogo on Thursday.

The players include; Sande Okot a shooting guard who has formerly played with UCU Canons, Our Savior and Falcon, Diego Angemi from KIU Titans and youngster Tyron Martin who helped Kibuli SS win the recently concluded national secondary school championship in Kabaale.

The others are Bbale Suleiman acquired from Falcons and returnees Francis Kasinde aka Odom plus Julius Wapera from Ndejje University and Warriors respectively.

Head coach Arnold Lando is confident the new arsenal will help in covering the loopholes they had.

“As a club, we look forward to a great season because I believe the new signings will help us bolstering the squad. Most of these players have the experience and that will be important to the team, he said.

In the same breath, Power also unveiled Chris Kyebambe as the new assistant coach. He joins the four time champions from KIU Titans

The new players join the rest of the team that has captain Joseph Ikong, Paul Odong,Michael Kojjo among others.

Power tip off the season against defending champions City Oilers this Friday at the MTN Arena,Lugogo in a repeat of last year’s final.
