Fufa Women Elite league Finals
Kawempe Muslim 4-0 UCU Lady Cardinals

Kawempe Muslim extended their dominance in the Fufa Women elite league with yet another brilliant performance easing past Uganda Christian University (UCU) Lady Cardinals.

In the game played on Sunday at Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku, Kawempe earned an easy victory winning 4-0.

A brace by youngster Juliet Nalukenge and a goal apiece from Sharon Naddunga and Favour Nambatya helped Kawempe to win their third consecutive league title.

UCU Lady Cardinals marched Kawempe for the opening quarter of the game but run out of steam and the latter did not find any difficulty in defending the title.

Nalukenge broke the deadlock three minutes after the half hour mark capitalizing on a lapse in the UCU defence and did no mistake to slot the ball past onrushing goalkeeper Anna Mathias.

Kawempe became even rampant in the second half with Nalukenge Favour doubling the lead before  Naddunga Sharon and second half substitute Favour Nambatya put the game beyond reach.

Kawempe Muslim now have won all the three league titles since inception of the league in 2015.

In the third place playoff, Uganda Martyrs High School Rubaga edged past Olila Women team 3-2 on penalties after normal time had ended in a 1-1 draw.

Fazilah Ikwaput had given Olila the lead but with just afew minutes to the end, diminutive playmarker Lilian Mutuuzo levelled matters.
