Their maiden campaign in the Azam Uganda Premier League saw them take the league by storm. A new force, a new team that was ready to challenge the supposedly big teams.
After finishing 6th in the league Onduparaka have started their preparations quite early ahead of next season signing two new players.
The caterpillars on Wednesday officially unveiled two new players in Karim Nduggwa and Rajab Kakooza to bolster their squad.
Journey man Nduggwa joins the Arua based side on a two year deal from Sadolin Paints who were relegated at the end of last season.
Nduggwa spent most of the time on the sidelines during his spell at Sadolin due to injuries scoring just 4 goals for the Painters.
His final game came in the Uganda Cup where he scored a brace against Paidha Black Angels.
The forward has been a journeyman in his career playing for clubs like Victors, SC Villa, AFC Leopards, Sofa Paka, Sadolin Paints among others.
The other player that joins Onduparaka is Rajab Kakooza from Lweza.
The diminutive central midfielder arrives at Greenlight stadium on a 2 year deal.
Kakooza was one of the outstanding players in the league despite his team getting relegated.
Club CEO, Anthony Affeti believes the experience that the two players have will help in making Onduparaka a better team.
“We have taken time with our technical team to bring players that we believe have the experience and ability to help bolster the team. Rajab and Karim have the necessary experience we need,” said Affeti
