Midfielder Muwadda Mawejje has agreed a deal to join Uganda Premier League side Soana Footbal Club after time on the sidelines.
Mawejje who has been club less since leaving now defunct SC Victoria University in 2015 joins the Kavumba based side on a 2 year deal.
The deal was confirmed by club owner and businessman Smart Obedi indicating Mawejje is a good addition to the team.
“Mawejje has joined us on a 2 year agreement after the technical team assessed that he would be a good addition to the squad,” he intimated to this website.
The former SC Villa and SC Victoria University winger had moved to South Africa where he has been until his return to Uganda.
Soana coach, Alex Isabirye who worked with the crafty midfielder at SC Victoria University in 2014 believes the player will help in bolstering his squad.
“We looked at someone with experience and ability to give us more directness and Mawejje possesses those qualities,” Isabirye stated.
Soana finished the 2016/17 Uganda Premier League in 7th position with 42 points.
