Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic “Micho” has revealed the final squad that will take on South Sudan on Saturday in the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifier.
Micho named the final 18 man squad on Friday evening, a few hours prior to the return leg on Saturday against South Sudan at Startimes stadium.
Winger cum left back Brian Majwega is one of the players that have been dropped.
Majwega featured in the goalless draw (first leg) last week coming on as a substitute for Paul Musamali.
The other players dropped include defender John Adriko, striker Nelson Ssenkatuka and goalkeeper Tom Ikara.
Uganda takes on Bright stars of South Sudan on Saturday with the winner on aggregate advancing to the next round.
Synergy’s Nicholas Kasozi and Simon Sserunkuma who did not make the trip to Juba have made the grade and are part of the 18 man team.
Earlier on, midfielder Deus Bukenya sustained an injury and withdrew from camp.
The team is camped at African Bible University in Lubowa along Entebbe.
The winner will take on either Rwanda or Tanzania in the final hurdle to qualify for the 2018 CHAN tournament in Kenya.
