Sunday July 23
Falcons vs KIU Titans
Betway Power vs UPDF Tomahawks
Our Saviour vs Ndejje Angels
Following the defeat of Pemba Warriors in the hands of City Oilers on Friday, the league has taken some balance as calmness has been restored at the league’s summit.
Two of the contenders to the League throne in KIU Titans and Betway Power will be in action today at MTN Arena, lugogo with the latter taking on out-of-form Tomahawks.
Betway Power started the season on a higher key when they frustrated the defending Champions City Oilers with a 60-56 victory.
Their winning formular continued with routine wins against UCU Canons, Falcons and Sharing Youth before a frustrating 66-72 defeat against Warriors.
They have managed to pick themselves up with recent victories against Our Saviour and JKL Dolphins.
Diego Anghemi who was absent due to work issues returned in that recent win against Dolphins hence giving resting time to Fahmy Ssebatindira who has had an impressive campaign.
With Betway Power’s top roster of Isaac Afidra, Paul Odongo, Joseph Ikong, Francis Bbaale, Okot Francis and Makiadi, UPDF Tomahawks may not pose any threat.
The rest of the games
Startimes Falcons who recently picked their second win of this season will have a huge mountain to climb when they face off with KIU Titans who have only lost one game, against City Oilers.
This is a must win for the Titans if their recent form is the one to go by, and the fact that their last two games in this first round will be against Power and Warriors.
Ndejje University Angels will look to bounce back from UCU Canons 59-76 defeat when they take on Our Saviour in Sunday’s last game of the day.
