KCCA FC added Telecommunications Company MTN to their rich list of Sponsors in a deal that was signed at the MTN head offices, 22 Hannington Road on Nakasero Hill.
Speaking after the unveiling of the Sponsorship package, Micheal Hillary Mutebi told ChimpReports that the deal will help to enhance the team’s performance.
“All in all, I believe this is going to improve on the team’s performance. Because like any other profession, the availability of money results into improved performance, and now it’s our responsibility to perform,” Mutebi said.
“I think many facilities which were missing are going to be put in place and this will enhance the team’s performance in general.”
Mutebi who has guided the KCCA affiliated club to two consecutive league titles added that MTN came on board because KCCA FC has been known for putting up positive results.
“And as the MTN CEO said, they would not associate with mediocre clubs; they are associating with a brand that is known for winning,” he boasted, excitedly.
“Like I normally tell you, the club has put another good rope in their neck for performance because its what everyone is expecting from us.”
MTN becomes the fourth sponsor of KCCA FC, as the club already had StarTimes, Prime Media and Britam on board.
KCCA FC and MTN Uganda’s deal is a three year partnership which is worth Shs1.29bn with Shs430M to be released annually.
