Back to back Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC will today July 29 engage in a charity donation event at the Mubende Referral hospital.

In the event which will see the club and its other partners which including Africell, Radio Simba and StarTimes donate over 150 blankets and other commodities to the patients, there will also be an HIV testing program spearheaded by UNAIDS.

Club spokesperson, Clive Kyazze told ChimpReports that players will be also tested on the day.

“Yes, it’s true our players will be tested because free HIV testing and counselling is free for whoever wants to do so,” started Kyazze.

“Personally I will have to take the test to know my status because it’s important to always know your status then and also give others confidence that it’s actually important to be brave to do that test because it’s important to know your status.”

Aldrine Nsubuga, a renowned football critic and also the Spokesperson for KCCA FC’s main sponsor StarTimes, recently confirmed to ChimpReports that the blood checkup for HIV testing will start with the players.

“The testing will start with the players so as to encourage others have that confidence to come for the tests after witnessing their stars going through the same routine. These players will also be educated about their day to day life engagements which will include how to spend their money well and live this tempting life cautiously,” Nsubuga

KCCA FC players will also have a friendly match with a Simba FM selected side at Kasenyi Play Grounds in Mubende as part of the day’s program.
