Sharing Youth vs UPDF Tomahawks
Basketball Army side, the UPDF Tomahawks will today play their last game of this season’s round one in the National Basketball League with Sharing Youth at the YMCA court in Wandegeya.
With both sides yet to find a right rhythm, it is Baker Kyambadde’s Tomahawks that have shown some signs of resilience in the past.
The Tomahawks whose record stands at 3-7, have recorded victories against Our Saviour, JKL Dolphins and Betway Power.
Moses Muhumuza, Henry Okoth, Felix Mukunzi, Stephen Wokorach, Dulton Mutawe and the supporting cast of Abel Mityero and Dramaza have so far been their outstanding players this season.
The team came from a 4-point deficit in the first quarter to see off 5-time Champions Betway Power at YMCA court in their recent encounter and they will hope to replicate that performance today against Sharing Youth.
However, the seven defeats against City Oilers, Warriors, Ndejje Angels, UCU Canons, KIU Titans, Nkumba Marines and Falcons leave a lot to be desired.
Did you know?
Falcons’ only two victories this season have come against Sharing Youth and UPDF Tomahawks.
Sharing Youth on the other hand come into this encounter at the back of a 59-68 defeat against Pemba Warriors, they will look to double their efforts recently if they are to pick maximum points today against the Tomahawks.
That defeat in the hands of the Warriors was Sharing’s 7th this season as the team has only recorded two victories: against Ndejje Angels and Nkumba Marines.
With defending champions City Oilers still on Sharing Youth’s menu before they complete their second round, today’s encounter against Tomahawks should be their must win.
