West Nile side Onduparaka FC have earned their top-flight status after just one year in the second division, the Fufa Big league.
Coming into this game, the caterpillars looked the likelier favorites for promotion both on paper, form and could not give their opponents a chance to settle from the kick off with rapid attacks spearheaded by captain Muhammad Shaban.
A trio of successive attacks in the opening ten minutes from Olega and two from Shaban could not fruition but just a minute later James Abaca’s intended clearance from his right back skewed back to his box and again Ogwal missed.
Shaban picked the pieces, sped inside the box and dropped to Olega but was cleared for a corner. Olega stopped the corner curled by Gadafi and flicked over for Agau to tap in.
Muhammad Shaban came closer yet again in the 36th minute after a good interplay between him and Olega but was fouled while making the last attempt to enter the six yard with the centre referee Rajab Bakasambe pointing to the spot. Toha stepped for the kick but shot straight into Odong’s Path
Shaban doubled the score towards the hour mark after dribbling past four defenders just before Wahab finished the business from another penalty.
Onduparaka will face Jinja SS in the Big league finals.
