Kirinya Jinja SS FC coach Abbey Kikomeko is way of the threat losses by Onduparaka FC when the two stylish sides go head to head on Sunday 22nd May in the Fufa big league finals.
The talent-laden Jinja club dramatically earned promotion to the 2016-17 premier league season after relegating Wandegeya in a five goal fest and also aided by the result in Kasese where the natives held Proline.
On the other hand Onduparaka finished their race in style hammering Sporting 3-0 to book the direct slot.
“The team has impressed everyone and we shall cap that with the trophy on Sunday,” Abbey told Chimp Sport from Soroti where he is with the academy/school team in Copa CocaCola.
The Jinja SS FC coach is however not leaving anything to chance and expects an entertaining but tricky game against the caterpillars.
“To be sincere, I haven’t watched any of their (Onduparaka) games but from my research it is that they play a similar game like us and quite a young talented team. So I expect some adjustments to counter their style,” he added.
Jinja SS joined the second tier in the 2013-14 season where they traded up to the finals but lost 2-0 to KJT. Last season they crushed 5-1 to JMC Hippos.
“Generally, we are happy for avoiding the playoffs route which has disappointed us at the last moment twice in a row.”
