Newly promoted side Masavu Football Club could lose their slot in the Uganda Premier League if the current situation is anything to go by.

After failing to play their opening game of the season against Police FC, the Entebbe based side has been docked three points for forfeiture.

According to the referee’s match report on which the decision was made indicates Masavu FC did not have licenses for players which is a mandatory requirement for one to play.

Therefore, Masavu have lost three points and three goals to Police FC even before they play a game.

In addition, the team has been slapped with a fine of Shs1m that must be paid to the Uganda Premier League Secretariat.

Also, the club has been given up to latest Thursday (today evening) to avail the player’s licenses if not another decision will be taken with the worst being elimination from the league.

Masavu FC won promotion to the Uganda Premier League last season but was sold to former Entebbe FC owner Anthony Kimuli.

However, there has been a lot of mess going on at the club since the buy off with coaches and players leaving, failure to get their home ground up to standard and failure to produce contracts and licenses.
