Two first half goals from Omedi  Medinho and Emmy Ongom against debutants Masavu FC were enough to book a Big league playoffs finals spot for Lira based Sporting United.
The goals came in the 6th and 27th minutes respectively.

“We have not played our best games because I think the loss to Onduparaka slowed down the team’s morale. However this win has come as a good motivation and so people should expect a good performance in the finals,” Sporting United coach Dan Ogwel Ongwedo said in his post-match comment.

Masavu’s Onesmas Andma consoled the first timers from the spot in the 65th minute after the ball was handled inside the Lira box.

Proline 4(0)-(0)2 Ndejje University

Both teams played their strengths to the end taking turns to dominate the two halves. Proline were better in the first while the scholars were so close in the second failing to produce from the half chances forcing post match penalties to separate the sides.

Captain Simon Mbazira, Edward Kidega, Joseph Mandela and Fahad Bayo converted their kicks for Proline as their keeper Saidi Keni blocked Tony Kassuju and Ronald Kiiza.

Stephen Ategeka and Albert Mugisa scored for Ndejje.

Proline FC and Sporting UTD will face off in the finals on Sunday just before Onduparaka play Jinja SS FC in the big league finals.
