FJL: KCCA, Vipers Register Victories

The third round of the 2017/18 Fufa Juniors League was successfully played over the weekend with mixed results for different teams across the country.

Onduparaka FC junior team kick started match day three with a hard fought 3-1 win against Police armless brigade before Mbarara City edged SC Villa 3-2 on Saturday at Villa park.

This was followed with six fixtures that were played on Sunday.

Vipers Junior team registered their first victory in the season defeating Proline soccer academy 2-1 away from home to recover from the home loss against Masavu last weekend.

Ivan Asaba and Washington Odoch scored for Vipers while Proline pulled one back through Andrew Kawooya.

Last season’s finalists KCCA soccer academy also managed to pick their first win in the season with a hard-fought 1-0 result away to Kirinya Jinja SS.

Prolific striker Sadat Anaku who was the top scorer last season scored the lone goal of the game to help KCCA soccer academy earn maximum points.

Elsewhere, defending champions Soana soccer academy suffered yet another loss this time falling 2-1 at home to Bright stars.

Maroons earned their first point in the league after a one all draw against BUL junior team at Kakindu stadium.

Masavu junior team edged past Express 2-1 in the game played at Nakivubo Blue Primary School while UPDF junior team shared spoils with URA junior team in a one all draw.

Mbarara City lead hat trick group with 11 points while Onduparaka are top of the treble group with 12 points in three games.
