Arnold Lando’s Power cruised to a routine 84-44 victory past Hawassa of Ethiopia in the Quarter final game played at the MTN Indoor Arena in Lugogo.
Michael Ongesa Makiadi who played with an injury led the charges with 17 points, Paul McGyver Odong scored 14, while Isaac Afidra and Michael Kojo scored 10 points apiece.
The victory took the Betway-sponsored team to the Semifinals where they will face off with Patriots of Rwanda who knocked aside ABC in the Quarters.
Betway Power who are still unbeaten in this tourney so far, have a huge mountain to overcome against Patriots who have Kami Kabange on their roster, a former MVP for Uganda’s National Basketball League in his past days with City Oilers.
In the other Semifinal, Kenya Ports Authority who defeated Tanzania’s Savio in the Quarters will play defending champions and hosts City Oilers.
Winners of both ties will face off in an epic final on Saturday at 9 pm with the overall champion qualifying automatically to the 2017 FIBA Africa Basketball Cup.
