The StarTimes Uganda Premier League side BUL FC has announced the appointment of Arthur Kyesimira as their new head coach to replace Peter Onen.
BUL announced on Sunday that Onen and his entire backroom staff had been fired after the club’s disappointing exit from Uganda Cup.
Earlier on, they had announced that Academy coach David Kiwanuka will handle the team as they searched for Onen’s replacement.
However, they instead announced Kyesimira to turn around the flailing fortunes of the club.
BUL FC has lost three consecutive league matches in 2020 and was knocked out of Uganda Cup in Round of 64 by Mvara Boys.
Kyesimira is a Caf B license holder and holds a post-graduate diploma in football from Leipzig University in Germany.
He has previously been at the club in assistant coach role under the then head Coach Kefa Kisala four years ago.
He was also part of the Uganda U-15 technical bench that lifted the inaugural CECAFA U-15 championship in Asmara, Eritrea in 2019.
BUL FC is in fifth position on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with 29 points and will host Wakiso Giants on Wednesday at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
