Emmanuel Wasswa scored an important strike as Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa completed a league double over their rivals Express FC in the Kampala derby played at Bombo Barracks Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Wasswa was on hand to head home what would prove to be the winner in the 69th minute off Ibrahim Kibumba’s teasing cross.
The 16-time league winners who won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Wankulukuku, registered the same score line on Wednesday in Bombo.
The result moves SC Villa to third place on 33 points while Express FC drops to 12th on 21 points.
In their next fixtures, SC Villa will be away to Police FC, a day after Express FC hosts Mbarara City FC.
