Muni University 1-2 Bugema University
Musiime Isaac and Musiimenta Dassy were both on target as Bugema University edged Muni University 1-2 in the Pepsi University Football League group E game played on Sunday.
Bugema University went into a 38th minute lead when Musiima tucked home for the visitors’ opener.
Two minutes later, Musiimenta doubled their lead after leaving Muni University defenders in slumber land.
The visitors slightly stretched their lead when Kagoda Charles rounded off his last man and squared for Musiima whose attempt went wide.
Muni University started pushing harder for a consolation goal when Pariyo turned nicely, made a slim move but his right footed shot went begging.
Bugema’s Wafula David paved way for Simon Kizito midway through the second half before Muni introduced Egalu Felix and Asiimwe Victor for Atugonza and Oyirwoth.
Later on, Pariyo picked out Caleb and teesed up Aalio whose efforts in the area went direct to Bugema University’s goalkeeper Kibalama.
In the 85th minute, Otim Fred pulled back one for Muni University but his late strike turned into a mere consolation.
The University Football League action will resume on Wednesday 26th February as Kampala International University host Uganda Christian University in a group B affair.
