The draws for the 2019-2020 FUFA Women’s Cup round of 16 have been successfully held today (Wednesday) morning at the FUFA House, Mengo.
Makerere University has been pitted against Masindi based Lady Doves in what will be a replay of the previous season’s final which saw Makerere University defeat Lady Doves 2-0 at Lugogo thanks to goals from Jemima Twesigye and Fatuma Nandawula.
FUFA Women Super League sides Asubo Gafford Ladies and Olila High School will face off in a recap of the inaugural final that happened in 2017.
Olila High School ended up victorious on the day with a 3-1 penalty shoot-out victory after a 1-1 draw in the normal time. Evelyn Kakai scored for Asubo while Cissy Nantongo scored for Olila to force the game into decisive penalties.
In other draws, Four time league champions Kawempe Muslim will play host to Women Elite League side Town View at Kawempe Valley ground while UCU Lady Cardinals will visit Tooro Queens.
Moses Magogo’s Kampala Queens has been drawn against Jinja based side, Jeram FC as Kawempe Junior Team hosts Isra Soccer Academy.
Little known team, Women in Football (WIFO) will welcome Uganda Martyrs High School as She Corporate travels to Mityana for Dynamic SS Jjeza.
The FUFA Women’s Cup Fixtures will be played between 25th March and 2nd April 2020.
