
The Kenyan team famously known as Simba are not only seeking to reclaim the Elgon cup from Uganda but winning with quite a big margin so as to better their world rankings.
“We are not taking the match cheaply but will be total business,” Simba’s head coach Jerome Paarwater told journalists in Nairobi.
The Kenyans enjoyed a cosmic Year 2015 where they broke into the top 30 in global rankings for the first time after defeating Portugal, Tunisia and Spain all in Nairobi.
“We not only want to pick that trophy, but aiming for fifteen points to improve our ranking,” he added.
Uganda’s Rugby Cranes are the defending champions after they defeated their rivals 30-25 in Kampala to accumulate 47-45 in aggregate in the last edition.
