
Uganda’s volleyball champions Ndejje University Elites have left the country for Kigali Rwanda to honor an invite for this year’s Genocide memorial cup that serves off on Saturday.
The scholars got invitation as Ugandan Champions to take part in the 18th edition of the Genocide Memorial tournament.
The delegation is headed by Mr. Wilfred Muhumuza and Coach Johnson Kawenyera together with his assistant Alex Mugoda.
Belindah Kepikirui will skipper the team that also has Christine Alupo, Margaret Namyalo and the Mwangi twins.
Others in the team include Mary Nakabuubi, Sharon Amito, Joan Tushemirerwe, Saidat Nnungi, and Maureen Mwamula.
This website is also reliably informed that other compatriots including VVC and Sport S ladies have already travelled. The men teams also to attend include; Sport S, Nemo stars and KAVC.
A technical meeting was scheduled for Friday 3rd where the format and various groups will be known before the main tournament on Saturday and Sundays respectively.
This year’s competition is the 18th edition expecting to host over 20 teams teams from Rwanda. Kenya, Dr. Congo, South Sudan and Uganda.
Rwanda’s tax collectors RRA and Rayon Sports of Rwanda are the reigning champions in the ladies and men’s respectively.
