The Federation of Uganda Football Associations, FUFA has cleared arrears of all the 16 coaches in the FUFA Juniors League for the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons.
ChimpReports has learnt each coach in the FUFA Junior League (FJL) project is entitled to payment of USD 100 (Shs. 370,000) per month.
This equates to all coaches who have been part of the project for the last two seasons smiling away with USD 2,400 (about Shs. 9M).
The clubs will also get their transport refunds before end of this week.
FUFA Communications Director, Ahmed Hussein told this website that the body’s target is to clear all outstanding arrears to zero.
“We shall take care of the internal football family which includes clubs, officials, players, technical staff, various National teams,” he said.
Hussein further confirmed that all head coaches who were attached to clubs before leaving their respective clubs have also been paid.
If FUFA proposed reforms are taken beginning the 2021-2022 season, a drastic financial change would take effect as the league would be replaced with a Reserve League (U-20) thus shaving away FUFA’s paying burden.
