Tactician Rogers Nkugwa has resigned from his coaching duties at FUFA Women Super League side Uganda Martyrs High School Women Football Club.
Nkugwa’s resignation which ends his two-year tenure at the Lubaga based side was confirmed in a farewell message posted on his social media account on Thursday.
“I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been there for me at the club mostly players, fans, CEO, and well-wishers of Uganda Martyrs High School Women Football Club. I know you will start from where we stopped last season with or without me and I request players to be obedient to the next Coach,” read part of the statement.
Some unconfirmed reports suggest that Nkugwa departed Uganda Martyrs in search of greener pastures and is believed to take over the coaching role at Masindi based Lady Doves Women FC.

Before joining Uganda Martyrs, he had stints at Princess Diana High School and Katuuso Community School.
Prior to the 2019/2020 FUFA Women Super League season cancellation, Uganda Martyrs was positioned second on the table, lagging three points behind table leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies.
