Kyaggwe Ssaza Football Team Management has confirmed signing 19-year old goalkeeper Benon Florence Watmon for this year’s Masaza Championship.
Watmon joins Kyaggwe as the first official signing made by the Ssaza management prior to the 2020 Masaza Cup edition kick off.
Upon his unveiling, the promising teenager opened up on his ambitions after agreeing working terms with the Ssaza.
“I am happy to have joined Kyaggwe and my main target will be to lift the 2020 championship. Personally, I want to use this tournament as a springboard to get elevated to the Uganda Premier League,” he noted.
“This lockdown has given me time to prove my fitness and I promise to give the best,” he added.
Having previously played at Lugazi Municipal and Lugazi Friends Soccer Academy, Watmon is currently at the West Nile based side Mvara Boys Football Club in the Regional League.
Kyaggwe is coached by former Uganda Cranes and Sports Club Villa player Hussein Mbalangu, who is assisted by Saka Mpiima.
The Masaza Cup 15th edition kick off date remains muted because of the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
