URA FC Steps Up Search for New CEO

Uganda Premier League side Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club is in search of a new Chief Executive Officer, ChimpReports can reveal.

This is after a job listing on Thursday by the Nakawa based side advertising the vacant CEO job.

According to the club advert, candidates that may be interested in the job have up to 25th June 2020.

“In an effort to achieve the club objectives, URA Football Club seeks to hire the services of a Chief Executive Officer with relevant knowledge, expertise, skills, professionalism, and experience,” read part of the post.

The new CEO will among other duties be responsible for the development of football administration and coordinate the club’s season program in Liaison with other club organs.

In the past six years, URA FC has had two permanent Chief Executive Officers in Edward Kulubya (2014-2018) and his successor Ivan Kakembo.

Kakembo’s tenure did not last long however, only serving for one year before being sacked and replaced by Bridget Nakayenga who took over on a three month spell.

URA FC, a member of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has so far won four league titles (2006, 2006/2007, 2008/2009 and 2010/2011).

Last season, the Sam Simbwa coached side finished the campaign on 40 points in the 5th position from 25 matches played.
