Kyetume Football Club duo of goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa and striker Baker Buyala are reportedly top on the list of tagets for six-time league winners Express FC.
The Red Eagles have been the front runners in the pursuit of talented duo in their bid to restore the lost glory at the Mutesa II Stadium.
According to the Kyetume FC Chairman Reuben Mubiru, any club willing to sign sny of the two should table a bid of not less than Shs. 40,000,000 for Mutakubwa and Shs. 30,000,000 for Buyala.
Earlier this week, the Red Eagles tactician Wasswa Bbosa revealed that he is keen on reuniting with custodian Mutakubwa who is left with just one year on his contract with the Slaughters.
Bbosa previously worked with the Uganda Cranes goalkeeper during the 2018/2019 campaign at Fort-portal based side, Tooro United Football Club.
However, Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club also entered the race to land the skillful custodian as the team prepares for both domestic and continental football next season.
Mutakubwa is seen as a backup for Burundian custodian Fabien Mutombora whose future at Kitende is uncertain amidst links to Tanzanian giants, Azam FC.
Express is also interested in capturing Tooro United’s John Toki Byamukama and Charles Musiige.
The Red Eagles finished in 9th position on the table with 31 points from the 25 matches played last season.
