After close to a year out of football action, Uganda Cranes defender Dennis Iguma will now bounce back as a KCCA FC player and promises to deliver to his expectations.

Iguma who was unveiled last Sunday night during KCCA FC’s live television show hosted on Sanyuka TV, expressed his gratefulness upon signing for the Kasassiro Boys.

“KCCA is a big team. With that, the fans should expect the best from me. I feel comfortable when I play in central-defense, midfield, and left-back positions,” Iguma said.

He added, “I am happy to be a KCCA FC player. I am going to contribute to the team. With my experience, I have to be an example to some of the players on and off the pitch. I am very excited to play in the Uganda Premier League.”

Iguma returned to the 13-time Uganda Premier League winners on a two-year contract and will stay at Lugogo until 2022.

The defender also previously played for SC Villa (2009-2011), Sports Club Victoria University (2011-2014), Al Ahed, Lebanon (2014-2017), Al Nabcheet, Lebanon (2017) and Kazma in Kuwait (2018-2019).

He joins KCCA FC as a fifth signing after striker Charles Lwanga, midfielders Ashiraf Mugume, Pius Obuya and Italian Stefano Loro Mazengo.

The Lugogo outfits are also reportedly closing in on Mbarara City forward Brian Aheebwa and is expected to be unveiled next Sunday alongside Obuya.
