Konyaspor 4-3 Instabul Baseksehir
Uganda Cranes forward Farouk Miya starred with a double as Konyaspor pipped table leaders Instabul Basaksehir 4-3 in the Turkish Premier League on Monday.
The Ugandan went off the mark on the 20th minute mark making an exquisite run and met left flank Alper Uludag’s cross in the area to tap in a clinical finish for an equaliser (1-1).
At 2-1, Miya stretched Konyaspor’s lead off a stunning shot which was his second goal on the day and the third for Konyaspor.
Omer Ali Sahiner and Nejc Skubic scored the other two goals for Konyaspor at Konya Buyuksehir Belediyesi Stadium.
While Edin Visca, former Chelsea striker Demba Ba and Elia Eljero were all on target for a star-studded Instabul Baseksehir.
The former Vipers Sports Club, NHK Gorica, Standard Liege and Royal Excel Mouscron striker has now scored Eight goals for Konyaspor from 24 league matches.
Victory propelled Konyaspor to 33 points from 32 games ahead of their next league away tie against Trabzonspor on Saturday this week.
Instabul despite the defeat remains on top with 66 points, ahead of Trabzonspor, Sivasspor, Besiktas and Galatasary in that order.
