Egyptian Premier League outfit, Tanta Sports Club has released Uganda Cranes holding midfielder Taddeo Lwanga.
Lwanga and Mario Bernard from Gabon are the two foreign players that have been let go by the club even before the current 2019/2020 season ends.
Lwanga joined Tanta SC from four-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club at the beginning of 2018/2019 season.
His short stint at the Egyptian Premier League side has seen him make only 11 league appearances, scoring one goal that came on his debut.
Besides Vipers SC, Lwanga has previously featured for Sports Club Villa and Express Football Club.
Lwanga becomes the second Ugandan to have fallen out of favour with the North African sides after Khalid Aucho who is on the verge of terminating his contract with another Egyptian club (Misr El Makkasa).
Also, former Busoga United forward Joel Madondo reportedly parted ways with Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca while defender Murushid Jjuuko and striker Shaban Muhammad also fell out with their respective North African sides.
