Onduparaka’s fairy tale journey into the local football continues to puzzle many. Against all odds the team has made it to the topflight and now on the verge of reaching their first ever final in the maiden attempt.
The team’s captain Muhammad Shabaan has been the main force behind the team success and is currently in contention for the golden boot plus the MVP award.
The former Kitende youngster has scored five of the team’s six goals in this campaign.
“My business is all about goals, I missed some chances against them (Entebbe) but I will amend for that,” Shabaan told Chimp Sport. “I am not under estimating them but working hard to be the top scorer.”
“My dad will be watching this game and he loves it when I score.”
Coach Kabonge picked the vital away advantage from his home town in Entebbe but warns of complacency.
“1-0 is not a big margin and anything can happen but I am encouraging my lads not to be carried with the first leg advantage. Our fans should expect our traditional attacking football.”
Entebbe made the eight hour journey on Friday and are expected to train at the venue later on Saturday. They need to win by two goal difference to progress.
If they do, then will be the first team to pick a win at Greenlight this season.
