Bugerere Ssaza team has completed the signing of winger Fahad Aniku from Mawokota, becoming the team’s sixth signing of the window.
Fahad Aniku, a former student of St Mary’s Kitende currently plays for Lugazi Municipal Council in the Buganda Regional League.
He joins a long list of already signed players that has Paul Mbazira (Edgars Youth), Ronald Senkayi (Black Stars), Umar Luswabi (renewed contract), defender Dube Kato (Bweyogerere), goalkeepers Arafat Otim and Ashraf Lubega (Edgars).
Managed by Henry Kabugo, Andrew Ssali (assistant coach) and Joseph Babigumira (goalkeepers coach), Bugerere will be targeting their first title since the tournament’s interception in 2004.
The 2020 edition which was initially scheduled for June before it’s postponment due of the Coronavirus pandemic is anticipated to kick off in October behind closed doors.
Bulemeezi defeated Busiro (1-0) in last season’s final at the Mandela National Stadium to clinch the title.
