Having narrowly survived relegation in the shortened 2019/2020 Uganda Premier League season, Police Football Club are now taking nothing for granted.
The Cops have again beefed up their roster by landing midfielder Muwada Mawejje right from the under noses of several suitors.
Mawejje who was unveiled on Friday signed a two-year contract with the Cops and will stay at the StarTimes Stadium for the next two seasons.
He joins Police as a free agent having spent half of the previous season featuring for Bright Stars FC on loan from Wakiso Giants.
He joined the Purple Sharks from KCCA Football Club. Muwada also previously had stints with Sports Club Villa and Sports Club Victoria University (now defunct).
At Police FC, he joins fellow new faces in goalkeeper Tom Ikara, Sammon Oloka, defender Hassan Mohamood and left-back Eric Ssenjobe.
The club also renewed contracts of Yusuf Ssozi, Denis Rukundo, Johnson Odong, Musa Matovu, Bashir Kabuye and Mubarak Nsubuga.
