Uganda Cranes defensive midfielder Robert Kakeeto has signed a contract extension with Danish Super liiga Club, Aalborg Football Club.
Kakeeto has penned three more years, committing his future at the club until 2022/2023 season.
After extending his stay in Denmark, Kakeeto was all smiles with the development and feels Aalborg is his home.
“It’s cool and I am happy to be here and it’s really good that I am going to stay in AaB. I feel the club.There are good people and I love playing football, so I would like to stay here in Aalborg,” Kakeeto told the club website after extending his contract.
He added, “I always try to speak Danish with my teammates. Not only vat the gym, but also when we are together in our free times. So I practice Danish all the time so hopeful, it can be even better in the future. Aalborg is like a family to me. The club means a lot. Aalborg is the only City I know, so the whole city is like my family. I will remember the city all my life.”
The Ugandan ambassador joined the four-time Danish Super League Champions in 2015 switching from Nordjlands Idraetshojskole.
In 2018, he was loaned out to second division side Jammerburg FC and spent the whole of last year at Finish HIFK Football Club all in Denmark.
The midfielder has made two appearances on the National team (Uganda Cranes) since his debut in 2017 against Ethiopia.
Last season Aalborg finished in the 5th position on 56 points.
