Striker Ahimbisibwe Signs Contract Extension at Nyamityobora

Lanky forward Ivan Ahimbisibwe has signed a contract renewal with FUFA Big League side Nyamityobora Football Club.

Ahimbisibwe, who joined Nyamityobora from Masaka based Synergy FC has inked a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2022.

He becomes the fourth player to commit his future with the Abanyakare, joining captain Clinton Kamugisha, Benjamin Mpirwe and Martin Arinaitwe.

Nyamityobora has also captured tried and tested players in the ongoing transfer window including Juma Sabitti, Mubarak Kakooza, Brian Nyabwina, Tonny Musinguzi, and Muhammad Matovu.

Other new signings include Wahab Lwanga, Ismail Fauz Aliganyira, Mahad Rashid, Patrick Ssekitoleko, Rashid Nsubuga, Remmy Makumbi, Adam Kizza Katongole, Solomon Mbowa, Fred Jjuko, Dickson Niwamanya and Johnson Turinawe.

Promotion specialist Richard Makumbi will sit in the club’s dugout next season assisted by Dennis Kiyimba as Nyamityobora aim at returning to the Uganda Premier League.

Last season, Nyamityobora played 12 games in the Big League finishing 5th with 13 points from the Rwenzori group

The 2020/2021 FUFA Big League season kickoff is earmarked for 29th October, 2020.
