Former KCCA FC players and tacticians Abdallah Mubiru and George ‘Best’ Nsiimbe have reunited again, this time at Uganda cup champions Vipers SC.
Mubiru was unveiled as new head coach for the St. Marys Kitende sponsored club on Monday during a press conference held at Imperial resort in Entebbe.
His introduction means Nsiimbe drops to second while Edward Golola falls to third in command.
The two coaches had two successful stints at Lugogo where Nsiimbe was head and Mubiru his deputy winning back to back titles from 2012-14.
Mubiru has previously handled Kibuli SS and Proline FC. He is best known for his work in grooming young talents akin to Vipers philosophy.
He has been tasked to help the dethroned league champions back to glory on top of the 2017 Caf confederations cup.
Task.
Mubiru’s next immediate task could be the 2016 Cecafa Kagame club championship though it’s still unclear where the venue and dates will be communicated.
Vipers qualified by virtue of winning the 2014-15 league title under Edward Golola, now third in order.
