FUFA Regional League Promotional Playoffs
Gadaffi (Eastern) 3-0 Sansiro (North Eastern)
Gaddafi Football Club qualified for 2020/2021 FUFA Big League after a hard fought 3-0 victory over Sansiro at the FUFA Technical Center on Tuesday.
Veteran forward Patrick “Crespo” Asiku, Mark Bamukyaaye (penalty) and second half subsistute Ronald Bithum Nsumbiano scored for the Soldier Boyz who were earlier tipped as favorites.
Asiku broke the deadlock after Eight minutes when he headed home a Mark Bamukyaaye delivery.
On the 59th minute, Bamukyaaye converted a penalty following Jerome Otukei’s tackle from behind on Ssengendo Sharif inside the goal area before Bithum netted the final goal with two minutes to the final whistle.
Gaddafi (Eastern region) now joins Luwero United (Buganda region) as the second club to be promoted to the FUFA Big League.
