FUFA Regional Play-offs:
Booma (Kitara) 1 (3) – 1 (4) Terrazo & Tiles (Western)
Terrazo & Tiles gained promotion to the FUFA Big League after edging Booma FC 4-3 penalties after a one all draw in the normal time during the playoff duel played on Friday.
Walter Omona’s had fired Booma into an early lead (5th minute) before Abraham Athuhaire’s 78th strike cancelled out his goal at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
In the post match spot kicks, Charles Bbale, captain Patrick Waligo, Emmanuel Balyejussa and Francis Mabbikke scored for Terrazo and Tiles.
Only Abraham Atuhaire and Kenneth Ndyatunga missed their respective kicks for the victors.
While Fred Gift and Swadick Collensis and Jasper Akiiki Owobusinge squandered their chances for Booma thanks to Terrazo’s goalkeeper Peter Otine’s reflex saves.
Nevertheless, Douglas Lule Kizza, Patrick Ongeyowon, Walter Omona converted their chances for Booma.
Terrazo and Tiles (Western) join the other two already promoted clubs in Luwero United (Buganda) and Gaddafi (Eastern) in next season’s FUFA Big League league.
Two more regions; Northern and West Nile will face off to determine the fourth and final Club that will advance to the second tier.
