Uganda Hippos have this morning left the country for Tanzania aboard Uganda Airlines.
The Hippos Head Coach Morley Byekwaso named a final 20-man squad that will participate in AFCON U-20 Zonal qualification tournament.
The 20-man squad has two goalkeepers, six defenders, eight midfielders, and four strikers.
Despite Defender Gavin Kizito Mugweri missing the team’s buildup match against KCCA FC on Sunday due to Malaria and Ivan Asaba nursing an ankle injury, both have been deemed fit to travel.
Also, towering midfielder Alpha Ssali, a son to musician Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool made the final traveling squad.
The AFCON U-20 CECAFA zonal qualification tournament will kick off on 23rd November to 6th December 2020 in Arusha, Tanzania.
Uganda Hippos are placed in group B with Eritrea, Burundi, and South Sudan.
