Buvuma Ssaza team camp has been hit with a major blow, two days to their participation in the 2020/2021 Airtel Masaza Cup tournament at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

ChimpReports has exclusively learnt that at least ten of the sixteen players that were registered for the 16th Masaza Cup edition have tested positive for COVID-19 ruining the team’s preparations.

The players whose identities have been withheld, were advised to go into a mandatory quarantine and self isolate for 14 days as the team coach Frank Mulindwa looks for possible alternatives.

Buvuma Ssaza technical team is now expected to replace the absentees with other players who will undergo mandatory PCR tests on Saturday before the team’s arrival in the camp on Sunday.

Buvuma was among the five teams in the Bulange group that held mandatory PCR testing on Tuesday this week at Mengo along with Kyaggwe, Busujju, Buwekula, and last year’s finalists Busiro.
