Express 13-0 Kimi FC
Express have intensified their preparations for the forthcoming Azam Uganda Premier League season by mauling Kimi FC 13- 0 in a friendly game played on Monday morning at the Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
The red eagles took an early lead in the 10th minute when midfielder Yayo Lutimba found space on the right to power a thunderous left foot shot past Kimi’s goalkeeper.
Mubiru Yafessi doubled Express’ lead ten minutes later before completing a first half hatrick in the 35th minute. Goals from youngster Kayongo Muhammed in the 26th minute, Allan Kyambadde in the 40th minute and goalkeeper Emmanuel Opio who converted a penalty in the 42nd minute ensured Express took a 7-0 comfortable halftime lead.
Wasswa Bossa, the Express coach decided to bring on Team B after recess and on the hour mark, Bogere Barsel scored Express’ eighth before midfielder Rogers Lukwiya (brace), Hassan Muddu, Robert Kalanda and Martin Bunjo scored to complete the rout.
Express who finished third last season will start the 2016/17 at home against Lweza on 19th August.
