
As the kickoff of the 2016/17 season draws closer, clubs have intensified their preparations in a bid to effectively compete.
Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) have unveiled ten new players on Thursday morning at the club’s training ground in Gayaza.
The new recruits include three foreigners with two Nigerians, centre back Harry Frank, striker Ibe Emmanuel Obina and Rwandese striker, Bokota Labama Bovis. Harry Frank who joins the tax collectors on a two year deal from Heegan FC,Ethiopia has previously played for Sofapaka, Muhoroni Youth and AFC Leopards in the Kenyan premier league.
Club chairman, Ali Ssekatawa believes the new players will help the club reach its ambitions of winning the titles.
“We have assembled a new 24- man squad and we believe the new players will win us titles this coming season,” he said.
The other notable players that have joined URA include defender Fred Okot and midfielder Julius Mutyaba and former SC Villa and KCCA defender Fahad Kawooya.
